Savage Arms’ IMPULSE Wins American Hunter’s Golden Bullseye Award
- WESTFIELD, Massachusetts  – Savage Arms is proud to announce that IMPULSE has won NRA’s American Hunter Golden Bullseye Award for Rifle of the Year. The American-made straight-pull rifle in Savage’s Hog Hunter configuration was chosen for the award by editors and staff of the magazine.

“We’re thrilled to win the Golden Bullseye for Rifle of the Year,” said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing at Savage Arms. “Impulse has proven to be a capable rifle, and American Hunter’s Golden Bullseye Award is an honor that acknowledges the engineering ingenuity that has come to define Savage Arms in the field—where performance matters most. No one builds rifles like Savage, and the dynamic capabilities provided by this new straight-pull action are changing the way Americans think about hunting.”

“The new Savage Impulse is more than just a good first attempt at an American-made straight-pull,” wrote Associate Editor David Herman. “It is a rifle that can take long-range precision shots with ease, yet is in its element stacking lead in rapid fashion. It would make an excellent addition to any serious hunter’s arsenal. It will likely spend far more time in the field than in any gun safe.”

American Hunter’s Golden Bullseye Awards acknowledges the finest products available in the shooting sports. The 2022 Golden Bullseye Awards will be presented in person during the 2022 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Houston, Texas.

Savage’s IMPULSE rifles are currently in stock at dealers across the country.
