Matthew Solberg

Matthew Solberg was born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin. Learning how to hunt and fish from his grandpa and Uncle, he loves being in the woods or on the water. After High School, he joined the Marines, stationed in California where he met the love of his life just shortly before being deployed to Iraq in 2004.  In the fall of ‘04 he was injured by an IED and would be discharged medically for the injuries and received a Purple Heart for the injury.  He started training dogs in 2008 for a kennel that offered him a job throwing bumpers and learning the job further. Years later, Matthew started his own kennel called Maple Leaf Kennels based out of Door County Wisconsin where his two young daughters help out with basics. Matthew loves the Lord and his family. He can be found camping in the summer with his daughters or running the grill on weekends.
