Marcus Gores

Growing up just outside of Portland, Oregon, Marcus Gores has always been an outdoorsman. From an early age he tagged along with his father and uncles chasing elk in the mountains of Oregon. Starting off hunting with a bow, Marcus now switches back and forth between bow and rifle depending on tag application results. Now 29 years old, Marcus has fully immersed himself into hunting all over the world. Marcus still hunts with his father and uncles, but has most recently added a new hunting partner to the group. His wife Kayt is the newest member to their hunting party and already punching tags and filling the freezer. Marcus has recently finished one of his goals by completing the North American Super 10. He is continuously working towards his goal of the North American Super Slam by successfully harvesting all 29 big game species of North America. Marcus has 16 of 29 to date and hopes to complete the remaining species within the next 5 years.

Marcus also volunteers for his state chapter for Wild Sheep Foundation, Oregon Foundation for North American Wild Sheep. He sits on the board of directors working to put and keep Wild Sheep on the mountains in Oregon and nationwide. Join Marcus on his journey for his North American 29 Super Slam by following him on Instagram @huntingwithmarcus.
