An Alabama native, Stephanie Mallory spent her childhood roaming the Bankhead Forest with her father who instilled in her a passion for the outdoors. After graduating from Auburn University with a degree in corporate journalism, she decided to combine her talent for storytelling and her love of the outdoors into a career as a freelance outdoor writer. She has written thousands of pieces for both online and print publications. Stephanie has been a key part of Realtree's online content team for more than 20 years. She specializes in finding the latest outdoor headlines, but also writes from first-hand experience, since she's hunted and fished all over the country.
